(This article is second part of a series. You can read first part here ; Getting Wild in Wild Wadi :D (Part One)
Burgers to kebabs and snacks to pizzas, a reasonably good variety of food is available, though a bit expensive. Luckily I found the pizzeria on my very first day, since pizza is all time favorite of all of us, so we kept on endeavoring true Italian style thin crust pizza Margherita for rest of the days as well. It was totally sumptuous. I got my coffee from the cafe beside kids' play area. Lots of snacks are available, from fruits to candy floss, ice- creams to fresh juices to keep you and your munchkins to keep on munching :)
ü There is a fish Spa too ;)
ü At reception you can pay to get a locker and get your required money transferred in a wrist band instead of carrying your wallet from ride to ride, which is also not possible either as you will be soaking wet after most of the rides. After paying for your tickets, the only amount of money you would need is for food, water and snacks. So keeping in mind that things will be bit expensive in there ( I mean you can’t expect Macdonald’s or any other like of it J ) get your band charged according to the number of family members. There were four of us, and I decided that 250 should be enough. And if you succeed in saving some of your money then you can get it back when you’ll be leaving.
ü On the first day I got a locker to put away kids’ clothes, flip flops, my cell phone and wallet. They are available in two sizes. For us small one was enough. However for remaining days what I did was to ask kids to wear their costumes underneath their tees to avoid any changing room fuss. Instead of bringing my wallet, I put enough money in the inner pocket of back pack and got it all charged in the band. Instead of bringing DSLR I thought it better to rely on my smart phone. I hung the backpack with stroller and avoid paying for the locker :D
ü Floor is clean and most of the people preferred to be barefooted as you are not supposed to keep them on while on rides. However you can put on swimming shoes which are available in Wadi shops as well.
ü I didn’t carry our DSLR the first day as I knew that it won’t be possible for me to carry my baby beside the camera. If you really want to take yours, it’s advisable to put it in the locker. Enjoy all the rides with your family first, then grab your camera, go back to all the rides and now you or hubby can capture the photos alternatively while one of you is taking rides with kiddos.
